KLASSIC CUESPORTS TEAM CHALLENGE LEAGUE 09/10

RULES & REGULATIONS

1.      TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE &VENUE

  • The tournament will be held at Klassic Cuesports, No 1 Jalan Berseh #02-02 New World Centre Singapore 209037.
  • The tournament will commence with a minimum registration of 16 teams and scheduled to play-off on Sunday, 3rd January 2010 at 13:00 hr.
  • All matches will be played on Sunday to Thursday at 8pm sharp.
  • The Tournament Organizers reserve the rights to change the date and time of the tournament, at their discretion.
  • Participating teams can refer to the Klassic Cuesports Notice board for match fixtures.

2.      REGISTRATION

  • Each Corporate Company or Club organisation is allowed to register more than one team for this tournament.
  • Closing Date: 28th December 2009
  • Draw Date:    30th December 2009
  • Registration fee: $350.00 (payable by cash or cheque).
  • All cheques must be crossed and made payable to Klassic Cuesports Pte Ltd.
  • All registration forms must be duly completed and submitted together with full payment of entry fee to Klassic Cuesports. Uncompleted registration forms will not be accepted.

3.      ELIGIBILITY OF PARTICIPANTS

  • Entries are open to all Corporate Companies and Club Organisation.
  • Any add-on or substitution of players will not be accepted once entries have been confirmed; however, the tournament organizers reserve the rights to permit change(s) with valid reasons at their discretion.

4.      TOURNAMENT RULES

·         All team captains are to report 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time.
·         Players are to be appropriately attired in collared T-shirts / trousers / jeans and covered shoes during the tournament.
·         In the event of a dispute, players are required to stop the match and approach the Tournament Organizers for assistance. The decision of the Tournament Organizers will be final.
·         Participating teams are required to keep scores during the games and duly submit their score sheet to the organizer at the end of the event.
·         Team captains are responsible to check the match fixtures and keep their players informed.
·         Team captains are required to assign and submit their respective names of players 15 min prior their match.
 

5.      GAME RULES

  • The tournament will be played in accordance to the standardized rules and regulations of the World Pool Association.
  • The break will be determined by lag.

6.      TOURNAMENT FORMAT

  • Each team is allowed to fill up to a max of 8 players. (4 playing, 4 reserve)
  • The tournament consists of two stages.
  • The first stage of the tournament will adopt a round robin format, race to 1 rack among 4 playing players per team, (best of 16 racks).
  • The second stage of the tournament will adopt a straight knockout format consisting of the top 4 teams from the each group.

7.      TOURNAMENT SEEDING

  • National Ranked Top 16 Seeded players and National Squad players will be seeded for this tournament.
  • There should not be more than 2 National Intermediate players in a team.
  • ONLY ONE SEEDED PLAYER is allowed to be fielded for each team.

8.      HANDICAP

  • All lady players will be given a handicap on the 8ball and 9ball; she need only to pot the 8 ball or 9 ball to win.
  • Top 8 seeded in the current Ladies National 9-Ball will not be entitled to handicap thereby the handicap will be void and match is to be played as per normal.

9.      MATCH PROCEDURES

  • No delays or postponement of matches permitted unless deemed necessary by the Tournament Organizers.
  • Any player who not present by the 15th min after the commencement of the match will concede 1 rack to the opponent. By the 30th min, it will be considered a walk-over.

10.  AUTHORITY

  • All enquiries or disputes should be referred to the tournament organizers, whose decision is and will be final on all matters arising.

11.  PRIZES

  • Guaranteed Prizes based on 16 teams:
Champion                     $1200  Cash +  $300 Klassic Voucher + Trophies
Runner-up                    $  600  Cash +  $200 Klassic Voucher + Trophies
Semi-finalist                 $  400  Cash +  $100 Klassic Voucher + Trophies (2 teams)
MVP – Men                 $  200  Cash
MVP – Lady                 $  200  Cash
                        Total:   $3000  Cash +  $600 Klassic Voucher + Trophies
           
  • All prize winners must be present at the prize presentation ceremony.
  • In the event whereby the prize winner is unable to attend, he/she may send a representative to receive prizes on his/her behalf.

12.  Most Valuable Players (MVP) Award

  • Only the players whose team qualify to semi-final/finals are eligible for this award. 
  • Most Valuable Player describes the player who has the highest rack wins in this league event
  • The most outstanding man and lady players in this event will each be awarded $200 cash.

13.  Participating team training privilege

  • Up to 20% discount off table rates for weekly booking of training sessions for all participating teams.
  • Terms & Conditions:
  • Privilege applicable ONLY for advance bookings, and for a minimum of 2 weekly sessions.
  • 20% off table rates for bookings made TWO weeks in advance.
  • 10% off table rates for bookings made ONE week in advance.
  • Notice of cancelation must be must be given 1 day in advance.

The Tournament Organizers reserve the rights to amend or interpret the rules and regulations of this tournament whenever deemed necessary. The Tournament Organizers and Klassic Cuesports Pte Ltd will not be held liable for any death, disability, personal injury and loss of property during the course of this tournament.
