POOLKHAKIS AMATUER 9 BALL TOURNAMENT 2008 RULES & REGULATIONS
ENTRIES Tournament entry is open to all residents of Singapore including employment pass, dependent pass, student pass and work permit. Participants must submit their entries on Official Entry Forms not later than 17 August 08, 5pm to poolkhakis. Participants must pay a non-refundable entry fee of $25 (adult), $20 (student) upon submission of entry forms. If the entry fees are not received by the draw date, the entry form will not be accepted and the participant is deemed to have opted out of the tournament. GAME RULES The tournament will be played under the International Rules laid by the International Billiards & Snooker Federation (IBSF).

The tournament has been postponed due to unfortunate events but necessary to accomodate players and serve their interest better. All participants must check the website www.poolkhakis.com for the fixtures. Poolkhakis will serve no reminder with regards to the fixtures to participants. FORMAT The tournament shall be played on a straight knock-out format. Matches will be decided in the following manner: Preliminary Rounds Race to 7 frames Qualifying Round (Last 64) Race to 7 frames Qualifying Round (Last 32) Race to 7 frames Pre-Quarter Finals Race to 7 frames Quarter Finals Race to 7 frames Semi-Finals Race to 7 frames Finals Race to 9 frames If there are less than 32 entries for any of the categories by the closing date, the poolkhakis shall reserve the right to cancel the tournament. DRESS CODE No slippers or singlet allowed. Players who are improperly attired will not be allowed to participate. MATCH PROCEDURES No delays or postponement of matches will be allowed unless deemed necessary by the Tournament Committee. All players must report to the Tournament organiser upon arrival with his/her identity card (or any document with photo) and take note of the match table. A player not ready to play by the commencement of his/her match will concede one (1) frame to his/her opponent. If the player is still not ready to play by the 10th minute, the match official will record a walkover and award the match to the opponent. Players must be at their best behavior whilst in the Tournament Venue. They shall not say or do anything which may discredit the tournament, and/or bring the sport into disrepute. If during the game play, there is a shot that raises doubt on whether it is going to be a foul, the player can request for the organiser to witness before the shot is taken. Organiser's decision will be final.
PRIZES The prize monies will be disbursed as follows: Champion $ 500 Runner-up $ 300 Semi-finalist $ 200 Quarterfinalist $ 100 5th - 8th placing $ 50 Poolkhakis reserves the right to amend the above rules and regulations without prior notification to the participants, as and when deemed necessary. Any matters not covered by the above rules and regulations shall be decided upon by the Tournament Committee, whose decision shall be final. |
