Actually the problem with the image is probably the biggest problem and actually it should start right from the one place our students spend their most time in.
Schools!
If schools can start accepting Pool as a sport and not a gangster activity, we'd probably have a better chance or promoting pool to youths.
For one, I see that we have a National Schools Snooker Championships.
That encourages schools to sent teams to win it, because schools enjoy winning and glory as long as it is recognised.
If we set up a National Schools Pool Championships or something. Send out an invitation to schools over the island, we would probably have an effect just like those National A, B or C Divisional tournament and schools will start recognising pool as a Sport, not a gangster activity.
