There have been some queries on the format of the tournament. Initially we wanted the flexibility so we can have anywhere from 24 to 40 player tournament. However, it seems we will have to go with a 24 player format.

Players will only have to attend two match days in total for the group stage. That is one match day per week.

Week 1 match days available: 18 Nov or 20 Nov

Week 2 match days available: 25 Nov or 27 Nov

Grand Final: Sunday 30th Nov

If any players are unable to play on any one of the days, you can request by emailing to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . We will try to arrange your fixtures on the alternate days.

Actually we posted the update once we confirmed it as 24 player tournament. It's as follows.

Update:

In the case of 24 player sign-up, there will be a slight change in the format of the final round. Top 3 players will qualify for the final round per group of 6, instead of top 4.

Total of 12 players will come back for the final round on 30 Nov. These players will play off in groups of 3. Top 2 players from each group will progress to last 8. Remaining 8 players will then play off in a straight knockout format.

Also the third match time is at 10 pm. Yesterday no third match started after 10. So the last match should not be past 11:30 pm. Many even finished their games before 10. Next week should finish earlier as each player only needs to play 2 matches, instead of 3.

Based on 24 player registration, prize money is:

Total: $670

Champion: $275 + Wiraka playing cue
Runnerup: $175 + Wiraka playing cue
3rd : $85 + Wiraka playing cue
4th : $55

5th-8th : $20 + $5 GF playing Voucher

Another playing cue will be awarded as a lucky draw prize on 30th November. You do not need to be a finalist to qualify for lucky draw. As long as you have participated in the tournament and are present for the final on Sunday, 30th November, you will eligible for the lucky draw prize.
